Proton Chancellor Story: I'm feeling bad

About three weeks ago, I made a blog entry sarcastically dissing the "Proton Chancellor". And now I feel bad for it because it appears that many people are Googling "Proton Chancellor" and being directed to my Blog. In the past week, about 80 people were directed to my blog after Googling "Proton Chancellor".
So rather than impede the efforts of Proton in selling their 1,000 Proton Chancellors, I will now praise them.

Check out the beautiful interior of the Proton Chancellor that comes with a DVD player and foldable TV screen.
Just yesterday the Business Times came up with an article on the Proton Chancellor saying that Proton expects to sell 1,000 of these that will be price around RM138,000 each. That is hardly expensive for a 'luxury' car but it could work both ways.

People could think of the car as an affordable 'luxury car' rather or they could think that the car (which is about the same price of a 2.0 Litre Honda Accord and half the price of a BMW 3 series) is far from being considered a 'luxury car'.
But lets not punish Proton for their lack of creativity, nor lack of branding knowledge to know that if they wanted to produce a luxury car, they had best put it under another brand.

The Proton Chancellor actually is quite nice because...... because.... well..... cuz....

Ok I can't do it. I can't.. I cant' I can't I can't. The car is just TOTAL CRAP. I tried so hard to give them a chance. But its just too difficult. Its like trying to convince the world that Saddam Hussein is a good man that never hurt anyone.
I even picked up the brochure and looked at all the pictures of the interior. There was so much plastic inside that it hardly looked posh. As for the steering wheel and panels... they didn't even bother to make it much different from that of a Proton Waja.

I'm sorry Proton, but I find it hard to give credit when credit is not deserved. I definately give credit to Proton for a job well done with the Gen 2 design and interior, but with the Proton Chancellor... this.... this is a total piece of shit. You can quote me on your advertisements for Proton Chancellor.
I'm sorry.. but for RM140,000 and with Proton's fantastic track record for quality, I would rather buy the Honda Accord or even HALF a BMW 3 series if I wanted luxury.
